Architect Catherine Sani

President

The President is elected by ballot at the Annual General Meeting and presides at all general, ordinary, and extraordinary meetings of the Institute. The President is responsible for the general running and well-being of the Institute on behalf of its members.

Architect Daniel Tsiga

Vice President 

The Vice President is elected by ballot at the Annual General Meeting and assists the President in the exercise of his/her duties and shall, in the absence of the President act in his/her place.

Architect Elender Mapando

Secretary

The Secretary is elected by ballot at the Annual General Meeting and is responsible for all the correspondence and the minutes of the Institute, and the compiling and maintaining of a Register of members.

Architect Khumbo Chirwa

Treasure

The Treasurer is elected by ballot at the Annual General Meeting and is responsible for the financial management of the Institute. The Treasurer ensures books of accounts are kept and arranges for annual accounts of income and expenditure to be prepared, audited, and presented to the Annual General Meeting.

All books of accounts of the Institute shall be in the custody of the Treasurer who shall, whenever required to do so by any person having interest in the funds of the Institute, produce the same for inspection.

The finances of the Institute shall be kept in a bank account approved by the Council.

 

The Treasurer shall, in conjunction with either the President or the Secretary sign all cheques drawn on the Bank accounts of the Institute.

Responsible for ensuring an annual continual professional development program for MIA members.

Ensuring that an appropriate training curriculum for parts 1 & 2 for architecture Students is being administered effectively.

Responsible for ensuring all Practice related issues are dealt with swiftly to ensure good practice of MIA members.
